Length of Unlimited
I started wondering about the overall length of the Unlimited. I see quite a few posts that imply that it is a huge vehicle. So to give myself an idea of how big it really is I looked up the specs on a few different vehicles for comparison.
JK Unlimited – 173 inches
Xterra – 178
Murano – 187
Titan – 224
Audi Q7 – 200
Rav4 – 181
Tundra – 218
I was surprised to see that it really isn’t that big after all. From reading some of the responses I thought we might end up driving around in something the size of a Ford Excursion.
Before I am flamed, I would like to add that yes I am aware that compared to previous Wranglers this is a longer vehicle. It is larger than previous models but it’s still not one of the monstrous, mall crawling SUVs you see rolling around, and that was my concern.

P.S. Yes I've seen pictures, lots of them. Sometimes it's hard to get a good feel for how big a car is until you stand next to it. I still have not seen one in person.

It's is Hugh compared to my old tj but not so much just the length it's feels much taller and more solid.you feel like you can drive though anything.now my sister in-law mega cab ram is really Hugh.
It seems to look bigger cause of the squared lines as well I think. Although it's 8" shorter than my wife's '04 Cherokee, it appears so much bigger when you're just looking at them side by side. I don't find that it drives big though. Took a little while to get used to it but it handles nicely.
