Lifetime Warranty?
SubscribeI just picked up a second jeep (sahara Unlimited 2008) I was moved by the new warranty that took place on jeeps bought after 7/26/07. But what really moved me was the extended warranty that the finance guy sold me. for $3200 bucks it covers:
Bumper to Bumper coverage for lifetime including Bolts, Electrical, Tops, Links, et...everything from A-Z.
Now that is a great warranty, oh not to forgot a free loaner car for all my free 25 oil changes.. I couldnt say no to that since we all know that a jeep after 100k miles it becomes a money pit!
Specialy since most of the functions in a JK are plastic..look it up with your dealer before buying.

Did the $3200 have a $100 Deductible?

Ya untill you mod it or simply offroad it. Both void any warenty I have ever heard of. Now I could be wrong but that's the way they word it.Originally Posted by crafa24

JK Enthusiast
we bought our Jeep on the 20th of July....thats right kids...6 days before the announcement.....I was able to buy the lifetime with 0 deductible for $600.

For $3200, that must be a dealership add-on, not Chrysler's "Limited Lifetime Warranty."
I purchased a similar warranty (except that mine covers everything, even wear-and-tear, for only 7 years/100K), for about 1/2 that price... but I'm going to cancel and get my money back, because I read the fine print and ANY modification or off-road use voids the warranty (as only_in_my_jeep guessed).
I would strongly suggest getting your money back, but that's just my opinion. The standard factory warranty should cover anything big/expensive that comes up in the first 36K/3 years, and THEN you may want to look at buying an extended warranty.

Dude it was not a guess. I have not seen a warenty written yet that covers mods and offroad use. Now I am sure as posted on this site some dealers who do the mods themselves will warenty the work if you take it to them but that is usually because the parts used in the mods have one on them.Originally Posted by MJS_Jeep_888
