I own the owner's manual too. Does that make me a owner's manual owner snob?

Definitely a fan of my manual tranny. A Jeep's one of those vehicles along with sports cars, in my opinion, that should be driven with a standard.

That's it. End of discussion. Except: No paddle shifters. Only a proper gear box and shift lever will do.

I once had a vw bug that had no working starter. I would park strategically so I could push start it myself. Try THAT with an autobox. It's one of the reasons I like manuals. Most countries in the world have more standard vehicles than autos, and you would look like an idiot if you didn't know how to work the stick.

Ok - did that sound snobby?

Every truck/jeep I've had has been a manual and I would never drive anything less. (snob voice)

To be honest with you I was too lazy to shift up hills and rocks, and didnt want to stall all the time or burn up the clutch by not paying attention. But I never thought guys with standars were snobs, kinda thought of it as the other way around
