Wait until you get mirrors on those brackets....the passenger side is absolutely useless

Turns out the relocation kit offered by Mopar is for manual mirrors only. The dealer connect pc program shows they are for all wranglers. at least they offered for me to return them.

now the hunt is on for a good a/m mirror for doorless driving, any suggestions, pics?

I relocated mine onto those brackets. I have manual mirrors though. I figured when I bought my jeep the less wires to move the better cause i knew it would change. I would just keep the brackets and buy some mirrors to keep attached to them. That way you can just take off your doors and throw the brackets on and youre ready to go.

You can see fine as long as the doors are off, but if you put the doors back on, you won't be able to see but maybe about 1/2" of the passenger mirror.

One of the forum members - brandon_soper21 - has installed TJ mirrors in those brackets and it offers more visibility than the stock JK mirrors in there. Me, for one, I went with CJ style CIPA/Rugged Ridge mirrors - works great with OR without doors. So, no more moving mirrors around for me. It does, have some vibration and whistle though, but for $13/each, I can't gripe

Understand where you come from on this about being a more aware driver, but different states have different laws regarding how many mirrors are mandatory - running without mirrors completely may be asking for a ticket.

I bought the lange originals quick mirror II's I leave my factory mirrors on my hard doors.. then slip the quick mirrors into their brackets for doorless driving, they work well enough for me to drive in traffic and not get a ticket...

same issue with the right side though when I have the soft doors on its a pain to see the mirror...

My buddy bought some all thread, some nuts and washers and a 6 inch convex mirror. He puts it through the hinges and it works great. He bent the all thread out at the top so it sticks out a bit. In Maryland you have to have a drivers side mirror so running without anything is not an option. It cost all of $12. I'm going to do the same.

He he....me too exactly! You forgot to mention that the Lange II's vibrate and whistle like crazy Oh ya and if you're not careful opening the soft doors when the tops are on they smack into the mirror and you have to readjust it...yet again. Ahhh...I love my Jeep! Seriously...I do!!!
