I had mirror relocation brackets on for about two weeks. I hated the look of them and the fact that I couldn't see out of the passanger one. When I go doorless I use my tube doors that have mirrors on them or I use this little mirror I got at the autoparts store that just clips on (I think its supposed to be used to keep an eye on a baby in the backseat).

Just go with some Harley Davison mirrors slipped in the top hinge. Easy to mount and easy to remove.

Again- just my opinion, not saying anyone is right or wrong.
I understand what you are trying to say about being a more aware driver, but the suggestion of NO mirrors is just bad advice. IMO.

I drive like a Highway Tractor, I rely completely on my mirrors. My wife and I both back into our garage and never look behind, all done by mirror and we accurately place our vehicles in the same spot perfectly daily.

Additionally, the last time I shoulder checked, the guy in front hit the brakes, and I rear ended him. That day, I spoke to a trucker... he laughed, taught me how to drive by mirror, and I haven't shoulder checked in about 28 years. I feel it's a way safer way to drive. IMO

Mirrors are a must!

every vehichle i own (9) has convex mirrors on the main mirrors to eliminate the shoulder check, like you, i never have to turn to see whats behind me. totally eliminated the "blind spot" and i test each one before actual hwy use by verifying the blind spot is eliminated by verifying that i can see front to back anything in the "blind spot".

now to my original issue. i found a set of identical a/m mirrors for $90 for the pair that fit perfectly into the relocation brackets that give me same view as my stock mirrors (convex mirrors installed on both sets). they also look nice and only take about 60 seconds to install / remove. the relocation brackets remain installed and do not interfere with the original configuration.

thank you for the replies

I don't see why people hate the RR relocation brackets. My blindspot mirror is in perfect view when doors are on, and I can actually see MORE than with the original mirrors on the door before the RR brackets. A $3 fix saves the hassle of shipping them back just because you can't see much out of the passenger mirror.
