Default Misfire P0300 P0303 Help!

Ok so the other morning leaving a friends, Blue (2008 JK Unlimited about 57k) started dinging check engine light came on (was on steadily then would flash=oh damn). The jeep started the usual vibrating and "cutting out" misfiring. Coded it popped up P0300 & P0303. Changed spark plugs and coil pack. Then realized that the exhaust had that unfriendly smell of rotten eggs.... Is it a safe bet that its the catalytic converter(s)?

Those codes are for multiple misfire, and #3 misfire. Misfiring will cause the converter to not function properly.

There are many possible causes for the misfire.

Just checking in since it's been a couple of months since your repairs. I had codes P0300 and P0305 come up and finally had them addressed. Mechanic replaced my coil pack, plugs were ok. It's been a day and not a hint of the 'cutting out' or vibrating we were both experiencing, so, so far so good. *crossing fingers*

How is your JK holding up since?

Thanks!
