Missing 2 Doors On My 4 Door Rubicon !

I was not getting any callS from my dealer - last week I was waiting for the call - so one day I decided I was going to call my salesman and get an update.... conversation was ok - no news yet but he thinks he saw an INVOICE - so that means JK should be there - but it was not...
Well , yesterday I get a call, it is the sales general manager.... Sir, your jk is here - Unlimited Rubicon, Rescue Green, Dual tops, all options as you have ordered BUT...... MMMMMMMMMMMMMM . there is a little problem - IT IS MISSING TWO DOORS !!! - we received a 2 door instead of a 4 door........I went from happy to get a call to Angry to laughing my @$#% off in about two seconds - I could not believe what I was hearing. So I asked what hapened and the only thing I got from this guy was that somebody made an error somewhere down the line.... apologetic? not enough, but sarcastic as hell - "we are missing two doors?? "
he said he would understand If I did not want to do business whith them anymore. you bet I will not!
So I decided I want to go there, look at the paperwork to make sure I'm not being lied to,
I see my salesman and he apologized enough and could not be more nice to me.... he was trying of course to sell me the 2 door but I stopped him right there and told him that was not going to happen - I want a 4 door - and that is it....
Found out while waiting for general manager that they received invoice prior getting delivery of the JK, they found out it was a 2 door then - $ 5K diffenrence - but decided not to call me until they actually saw the JK - hoping that by any luck they get the 4 door and just the paperwork is wrong. Nope - the one on the lot is a 2 door.
So I decided to look for myself and make sure it was mine , went out to service garage and sure enough - it was there - sweet Rescue Green Rubi JK - the window sticker has my name on it - "Built Specifically for so & So" but it is a 2 door.
Sales manager did not even offer to at least try to solve the problem - how? - at least say - let me check around and see if I can finda rubi jk at another dealer and buy it for you. Man was i pissed - but I did not blow up in his face - I tell ya - what a bad experience - the sales mgr did not care much - he offered a good discount on the 2 door - he also offered to order another one for me - another 12-14 weeks wait? NO WAY - but I don't think he cared enough to see if there was a way to fix the problem - I do understand that a Rubi JK is hard to find - but the worst part of it allwas the fact that he did not even offered. He knows that Rescue Green will be gone before Saturday is over - guaranteed - and they will make the money anyway and above MSRP.
Now, today, frustration is kicking in - I had too much stuff in my head yesterday and obviously I did not react as I would normally do.
So, to finish this story, I've been since this morning searching for a Rubi JK - found 2 - will see what tomorrow brings....

Don't know where you are, but I talked to them earlier this week and they seemed anxious to sell the vehicle!
I have Sahara Unlimited that went KZL today and should be delivered 3-21-07 - or sooner!

I talked to a sales guy there by the name of Denny Shell. He was very helpful and quickly located two other Rubi's for me - maybe he can do the same for you. I wasn't looking for Rescue Green, though.
As mentioned in earlier post, I have Sahara on order that I hope to take delivery on next week. This past Monday, I was ready to give up the ship and was looking at inventory on lots (my dealer has zero). As I said, Denny was very helpful and quickly located two Rubi's loaded - but Black which was color I was looking for.

On a positive note for you, they have NOT discontinued Rescue Green, they axed the greystone color instead to make way for the detonator yellow....so IF you did order another one, you could still get Rescue Green.
I would be telling them to order you up another one, and you will be driving this one as a loaner until yours comes in. No charge for miles either.
