Default Missing item in dash panel

Can anyone tell me what usually goes in the dash panel directly opposite the 12v power outlet (on the other side of the switch panel)? I bought this 2012 JK Sport S, and whatever was there is missing, but I cannot tell what was there. The hole is a factory hole, but not round. It is round on one side, but more square on the other...a photo of what you've got there would be great, or better yet, a part #...thanks for any help you might offer...sorry for the fuzzy photo...

It depends on your trim level or package. On my '14 base sport it's a trash bag holder. Well it was anyway...

Looks like a base model, some kind of hook? I've never see one in person, but I know it isn't a second power outlet.

Yeah that's a trash bag hook. That's what mine had.

Hey that pic only has 2 active buttons...more ghetto than mine. Mine has 3. Hill start assist FTW.

It's a trash bag hook on some models. I THINK on the models with power mirrors, the power mirror control goes in the left hole and the power outlet goes in the right. Perhaps when you get the smoker's group you get the lighter in the right ? I think my contribution to this thread is full of fail

You're correct on the power mirror part, at least on my wife's Jeep. I don't know about the smokers group though.

My '14 Sport, the left side was the electric mirror adjustment knob, and the right was the 12V outlet.

Trash bag hook, how interesting. I would have never guessed. Seems the high styling designers and engineers at Chrysler could've come up with something a little better than that. Then again, why would they? Have you ever used it for its intended purpose?

From the responses received, it looks like the hook is the most likely candidate for what was there. I don't really care about having a trash bag hook, but I did want something to fit in the hole that covers it. I will look at some auto parts stores this week to see if I can find something that will go there that looks ok. I'm also open to suggestions if anyone has any other options.

I will also look into a factory hook replacement to see what that runs...

Thanks all for the quick feedback.
