The funny thing is that the bullet probably would have gone right through your hood. Stupid, flimsy sheet metal.

If you can seal around the bullet so it doesn't leak, I think you should leave it there. It's like one of those bullet hole stickers but more realistic.

sorry, but maybe its the size of the pics, but it looks like a 7.62/308...

223's are tiny... that thing looks HUGE...

and also looks like it was a tracer round.... ( the hollow end...)

(or again, maybe its my 24" screen...?)

either way.. WOW.
it still carried enough juice to put a hole in the roof, better there than in someones HEAD.

i'd find a rabbits foot or some of that "count your lucky stars" crap.
and be glad your alive to tell about it.

at least you werent the intended target....

Default Geez

When I sat down at the compy today, I never saw this coming...

I would say keep it. It does look cool.

x2 on the silicone....

Maybe I need to put my hard top back on.... I don't think my bikini top is bullet proof....

I will have to agree with you, it looks too big for .223 could be 30-06 judging by the length of it.

It isnt a tracer round, they dont have hollow ends like that. They are encased in a FMJ. And painted the colour of the trace.

to the OP I would silicone it and leave it in also....

same thing happend in my TJ.. but with a soft top.

for a while i couldnt find the bullet.

about the same time i noticed a rattle in my steering wheel. drove around with the rattle for a while and then one day when pulling into a parking space i heard a thump on the floorboard(no carpet). a 9mm round had gone through the soft top and ended up in my sttering wheel by through the gap between the steering wheel and the column.

weird.....

I'd call CSI and get some answers fast, before the trail
gets too cold.

He is going to have people trying to steal his jeep and they will see that thieves will be like "this is a stone cold hood rat we better leave this jeep alone." Take a pic of it and send it to a magazine they would publish that.
