that is insane!!!
You should really go to the police with that and report it. It will help with insurance. But keep that panel for the story!!!

I would get a clear epoxy and cover it with the bullet in! Thats kinda awesome!

I definitely agree, KEEP IT!!!

But seriously, forget the silicone, there are much better options that will look cleaner and seal just as well. The clear epoxy has been mentioned, or go with a poly.... just don't gob a bunch of silicone on there, would look like crap. You'll want to cover the entire round on the outside, so corrosion doesn't become an issue.
