My hardtop caught a bullet
That's nutty. 4th of July of 2006 I was working at a soccer game in Houston (yep, Texas again) right next to 3rd ward where apparently bullets are cheaper than fireworks. Had a couple of rounds hit cars in the parking lot, a cop car at a traffic post, and one lodged itself into a girls shoulder. They don't do 4th of July games anymore.

I am with all the posts who say coat it with Epoxy (to stop leaks) and keep it as a conversation piece. But I also know if it was me I would want to replace the top panel. Someone in this thread posted the price and where you could get one so if it is less than the deductable I would buy a new one and keep the old one (or at least a portion of it surrounding the bullet) on the wall in my office.
thats a 30.06 M2 FMJ... Prob surplus from someone using a m1, 1903 ect.. Who ever did it should be barred from owning or using a gun ever again, as there is no exuse for firing one of those straight up in the air, which is what happened looking at the angle of penetration. thankfully you wernt in it with the panel missing, or you would have been seriously wounded or worse...
