I was driving this morning at a whopping 15 miles per hour through a neighborhood and when I turned the corner it just stalled. All my lights went on and all my power went out. I got it started again and by the time I got home which was less than 2 miles away, I stalled 2 more times and now it is sitting in front of my house DEAD! It will not even turn over for me. It just clicks. I am super bummed right now and afraid to even get in the thing.

 

That really sucks especially on a 08. This is really going to hurt DC in getting them sold. I can not understand why these bugs can not get fixed. I love Jeeps and with the 07 compared to 02's they really beef up everything but all these mechanical problems and other things can kill their sales, profit and send then in a hurdle of turmoil.

 

I left it sitting for awhile, detailed it so it looked nice for the dealer to fix it! lol Started right up but I am still worried that it will happen on the highway and unlike others, mine never started back up, it was dead! Kinda Scary actually. Maybe it was a mistake to buy it?????? I remember when Jeeps would run forever, Mine has not even made it to 500 miles!:sad:

 

Stay positive....I LOVE my 07 Rubi Unlimited I have 8400miles on it. It stalled twice on me both times after approx 4000 miles have passed. I just had the PCM reflashed with the updated program so I am hoping all is well. Its so much fun to drive and in bad weather VERY confidence inspiring. Stay upbeat.....Because once you start to enjoy it to its fullest you will realize it was the right purchase.

 

That doesn't sound like the "stall bug", it sounds ike it happened to frequently and also didn't turn right back on on its own. Sounds like there is something more wrong unfourtanetly.

 

After going back and re-reading your post I agree with BLKRUBI....one of our local club members had something VERY similiar to this, they replaced a module of some sort and its been flawless since.

 

I am upbeat, I am a longtime jeeper, this is one of many. My problem is that this happened at a turtles pace, not highway speeds. If this happened on the highway someone could have been seriously injured. I don't care about that piece of shit Jeep, I care about my wife and myself and no car is worth out lives. So I will have it towed to the dealer, have the problem fixed and see what my next step is.

 

I just had it delivered to me. The TIPM had to be replaced, totally shot. Hell, I hope the new one lasts more than 8 days. I told them I filed with NHTSA and Chrysler for the problem to make sure that if this is a problem, none of us get killed b/c of it. Happy Jeepin' out there and hope I don't die driving it anytime soon! Jeep trust is gone and now it has to earn it back!
