Default New AEV Front Bumper Question - Help

I just picked up a used aev premium front bumper mint shape and need a little help figuring out what lights I should put on it and winch. I was leaning towards Hella led rally 4000 round off road lights. And a 9500 lds superwinch . Any one else have this bumper please let me now what's your setup. The other thing I'm wondering if I order the winch delete plate will it fit over the winch if the solonoid is relocated to secure it and give it a cleaner look. Any help would be awsome.

I can't help with the lights but I have a Superwinch Talon and it's a great winch. Get the synthetic line. I believe the winch you're considering will stick up a bit above the bumper so a winch delete plate will not fit. Besides, your going to need access to the spooling lever and be able to see how the line is spooling which wouldn't be possible covered.

Lights are all subjective. In regards to the winch, I must be missing something. Why would you install a winch and then want to completely cover it.....even if you were able to? If you ever plan on using said winch, you're gonna need access to that clutch as mentioned above. I would not select a winch based on the profile and the idea of covering it, I'd select it based on what I thought was gonna be best to pull me out of a jam. I'd think the only reason that winch delete plate exists is for folks that don't intend to run a winch.

I will say there are a couple bumpers I've seen that completely hide the winch, but they were intended to do so. This is not one of those.

Ya I was looking at the talon 9.5 , looks like it will fit deep in the bumper so it will clear the winch deleat plate if the solenoid was relocated . The disengage handle on that modle has one nut holding it on I was thinking of modifing it to extend up and out of the cover plate . I just like the clean look . I didn't now there was two generations of this bumper the one I have is Gen 2 . Gen 1 looks like is fits closer to the grill . Is it normal to to have 2-3 inch gap to the grill ? and is it normal for the oem filler plate to sit 3-4 inches lower behind the bumper? All pics I see online the fitment to the grill looks tighter . Everything else is perfect

Some picks of the gap between bumper and grill and oem trim panel that sits 4-5 inches lower behind the rear edge of the bumper. Any one no if this is normal?

Yeah, that looks about right. When I look at mine from that direction I can see that gap. The trim panel is more intended to hide the gaps when looking at it from the front.

Here's the only pic I currently have which shows part of the trim piece. Since, I installed a winch I had to trim the trim piece according to the instructions.

Also, I seen someone who took the winch delete plate and trimmed it down so only the clutch handle was sticking out.

I just put a neoprene winch cover over my winch which wouldn't work using any part of the delete plate with a winch installed and you'll want to cover your winch if you use synthetic rope, as well as be able to remove that cover.

For fogs, I just re-used the OEM fogs for now until I go to LEDs. Any fog that is intended to be an OEM replacement should work on the AEV bumper, since that bumper uses the OEM fog lights.

The gap is normal for the newer generation AEV bumpers. Mine is flush with the grille since I've had it since 2009. My best guess is they changed it so you could change headlight bulbs without dropping the entire bumper.
