I signed the sales agreement yesterday 8/9/08 for my 08 Unlimited X. I started my sales agreement on 8/3/07 and was told the order was placed then so I'm a week into my order. Traded my 05 Sport with 25000 miles in on it. The dealer says about 8 weeks to build, should I count on it? I sent an e-mail to the dealer to get my VON to follow it down the line. Let's see how quick they get back to me with it.

i placed 08 unl x order on 7/28 and am still waiting for the vin/von. called the dealer and said ill be wating for a few more weeks.

how do you place orders a year in the future?

 

I ordered my 08 yellow X on 6-11-07 and got it 8-09-07. I thought that was pretty quick, it took 2 weeks for me to receive it after it shipped.

 

2dr? options?

 

Just so you know, a VON is available the moment that the dealer places the order. Make sure you ask them for the order sheet too.
The VIN is usually available near the middle ofthe build, a few weeks before you get it. Worth the wait!

 

It depends on what you ordered. 2 dr, 4dr, and what options you wanted on it.
I know they are having a problem trying to keep up with the 4dr, Freedom hardtop, mygig, and the Rubicon's. I ordered my 08 Unlimited Rubicon on 6/25 and still don't know when I am going to get it
I have a VON but it has only passed the order confirmation stage. Last week I was told it was in BG status (first phase of order) but don't know when I will get it.

 

I got 2 dr. S pkg. with dual top and tow pkg. My salesman ordered a 4 dr. for his parents around the same time and doesn't have a build date on it yet. I guess I got lucky.

 

how many digits is the VON?

 

My Unlimited X is a 4X4 4 door, with duel tops, cruise package, and power window package, auto trans, silver blue. I'll add the step later for $325 and put it on myself, they want $395 at the factory.

I ordered by rubi unlimited on 7/24/07 and left the dealer with my VON and purchase price. I am still in BG status at this point. I do not expect to see a delivery until Nov/Dec.
