New JK Purchase
I can't say I'm an official JK owner yet but I came really close. Here's my story: I'm not a first time Jeep owner. I've owned two Cherokees and I'm currently still driving my Liberty because the 2015 Wrangler Unlimited Sport S I ordered in Billet Silver finally arrived (after waiting 5 week) in Black - the wrong color.
Up until all this happened, I really didn't feel like I was being treated as a valued customer, seeing as how this was my 4th purchase from the same dealership. Yes, I got an apology but also some bull about the District Manager getting on the case to correct the f-up but no definitive idea when I'm finally getting my JK.
I had plans for an off-road outing with the JK schedule well in advance of it's arrival. That has to be canceled because I'm not about to use the Liberty since the plan was to trade it in and I don't want anything happening to it. I don't even like the idea of doing anymore regular driving with it and chance anything happen to it. I already went through that for 5 weeks.
Many people tell me I should dump the deal and go elsewhere. What do you think? I love to hear some opinions.

Or bargain them down on the color you want because of the added delay. That is leverage you can't really take elsewhere. Anyway, it isn't clear from your post who made the mistake. Probably dealer input computer data wrong, but if you're not certain, why penalize dealer? Was it correctly coded on your order sheet? If not, maybe you're a little at fault, too.
