Default New V6

Well the new Pentastar will only be available for the 2011 Grand Cherokee at first. The Wrangler will be the last one to get it IMO. Not gonna wait 2 -3 more years to get one...Gonna get the '10 Sport or Sahara . Mods are the only true POWER for our JKs. Hurray for Superchips!

Wouldn't be surprising. Also wouldn't surprise me to see them push forward with the change sooner than later considering the popularity of the Wrangler.

Popularity is the thing....If it's so popular selling why change the formula? That seems to be the mentality of Chrysler right now.

Unfortunately that probably is the way they're approaching it. I was just hoping that with Fiat in charge they would say, "This is a popular model right now and people like it despite the relative weakness of the engine. Lets upgrade the engine sooner than later and make a good product even better."

Fat chance, right?

IIRC the 3.8L is scheduled to be around to about 2014, guess what platform that will likely be in.

I have heard fall of 2014 or 2015 depending on who you talk to. For the JK my guess is that it will never see the new pentastar engine, but it will go into the next generation Wrangler that will be coming out around 2016. They probably aren't going to put the money into re-engineering the engine bay, and crash testing the chages for something that will only be out for 1 year before its replacement comes along.
