Wish I had an answer, but I don't. I'll give you a bump though.

Looks like you have one of those wonderful rubis so I don't think you will have any trouble. We have a guy that does all kinds of serious wheeling and all he did was a leveling kit with 35s. He is running that on an unlimited rubi.

thanks for the answers, the main thing im concerned is the 5 inch backspace. does this mean the tires are going to be sticking out of the fenders alot?

the 5" backspace is less (i.e you'll be more under the Jeep) than the 4.5" backspace that most of us are running. I think with 33's you'll be ok and not rub, but with 35's you'll want that extra half inch out.

If you can get what you want with 4.5" bs I'd say go for it.

as for sticking out, how wide of a 33 are you running? and how wide is the rim?

The model of JK has absolutely no bearing on this question. The same lift/backspacing sizes apply to every JK.

the rim is a 16x8 so whats the best tire width you think i should put if im running 33s with no lift or 35s with a 3.5 rc lift?

you'll be fine with whatever you choose, as long as it isn't a crazy wide tire, anything about 12.5" or less.

good luck and be sure to post pics of the new shoes
