Default Newbie: rain question

Picked up my first Jeep (Flame 4-door X) 3-weeks ago. How worried do I need to be about rain? I don't mind getting wet, but at what point should I get off the street and put the top up. I don't want to do any damage to electronics, etc. Any adivce would be appreciated.

Also, I have had the Sunrider down the entire time and when I put it up today I noticed some pinch / rub marks. How concerned should I be?

Thx.

I have had my Jeep for about 3 months now and it has been rained in about twice a month. The weather here in texas can change on you in a second. But I keep my doors and windows off about 65 to 75% of the time. It got about an inch of water in the the first week I had it. and last week about 2 inches and my back storage had about 4 inches in...The radio and dash have gotten wet and I have yet to have a problem. I keep my drain plugs out and if it gets hit real hard while im at work or something I just run it up to a car wash down the road and vaccum all the water out of it! hope this helped a little.

Try not to let the dash get soaked. It will cause temporary problems with the electronics that I hear fix themselves with time and drying. Everything else I say is fine although when the carpet gets soaked it will take a while to dry. BTW do not forget to pull the plug in the jack compartment it will fill if you do not and that can ruin the jack.

I have a 'lemon' of a top that i might have to end up suing the dealership here to get fixed (supposedly fixed 4 times) i have a soft top and halfdoors and i have standing water on my floor and soaked seats after it rains. but it is not supposed to do that
