Nice Day and a Wave
My Dad always told me it was strictly a CJ,TJ,JK model wave. Which makes sense because the primary market for them is a certain kind of person.
I've never waved to any Libertys, Grand Cherokees, etc. I'd imagine if I were to it would confuse the driver :P

I am loving this thread!
When I first got my Wrangler, I couldn't figure out why everyone was waving at me.
Finally my office manager explained it to me, "It's a Jeep thing, you are suppose to wave back."
Shouldn't they put this information in the Owners Manual?

Beings that this is another thread about the jeep wave, I'm going to say the samething I did in all the rest of the wave threads. The JK is the new kid on the block, once we prove the JK can do what the older jeeps (F.Fender, CJ's,and wranglers) can do, then they will start waving. But we must keep waving in the mean time. When I was driving CJ's and the then new YJ came out it took sometime before we accepted them as a jeep. Then the TJ came out and the samething happened. Now it is the JK's turn.
I personally have always waved at the flat fenders, CJ's, and wranglers and that is the way it should be, but as we all know there are some people out there that think they are better then the new kid on the block. Well after owning CJ's, YJ's, TJ's, and now a JK, the JK will prove it's self without a problem, it is a great vehicle, but it will take time before it is accepted. Until then just keep "WAVING LIKE YOU MEAN IT" and the older ones will come around.
Great day yesterday for waves. We saw all types of jeeps(as in Flat Fenders, CJ's, and Wranglers) while driving around town yesterday. We got waves from everyone of them except a JK, but he was busy driving but gave a big smile and a nod. Had a Flat Fender driver wave first and I thought he was going to fall out with excitement if he hadn't had his seatbelt on. We had stock and modified waving. It was great getting all the waves from the CJ's, YJ's , TJ's. I think they are starting to recognize that the JK is a Jeep in this area. So all of you that get disappointed because you are not getting waves, keep waving they are coming around.
One of the things I do; When I pull into a parking lot at a store or what ever, I look for another jeep (FF,CJ, or Wrangler) and I park next to them if I can. Then you may end up running into them when leaving or getting in. Then I strike up some small talk if possible. You know like hey how do you like your Jeep? Most will stop and start talking about it. Then they will ask about yours and they start looking at it and asking questions about it. Next you bring up the Jeep wave and bingo you have now turn them on to waving at JK's as well as broken the ice between older jeeps and newer jeeps. Try this sometime, it works and the worst that will happen is they will grunt and drive away. In that case you didn't want to talk to someone like that anyway. Good luck to all. Keep on Waving!

The wave is alive and well in Nashville (mostly)...
I was gassing up three days ago and a lady in a black Liberty with the windows down drove toward, slowed down, then got a look of pure joy on her face when she saw that mine was a Rubi four. She stopped and started talking about how beautiful it was. I, of course, had to agree. She asked how it was off-road; I told her I've been through some pretty hairy stuff in it. She finally drove away, and even though hers wasn't a Wrangler, it still felt kinda like family.

I am getting a bit sick of the non-waving folks around here. I still wave and still will but not getting one back very frequently is getting to me. BTW it does not matter as to type of jeep, age of driver, male or female, or anything as to who does not wave back I get a lot of non wavers here and I think it is because a jeep is considered an affordable convertable and a cool thing to drive by most of them and they just don't get it.

to Everybody (CJ, YJ, TJ, JK) and sometimes get a
