Default Is this normal

OK I had my jeep regeared with (supose to be) 5.13's i have an automatic,3 inch lift and 35" tires. Is it normal for it to shift into overdrive way to soon and dog out,it seems like im always kicking it down or having to take it out of overdrive even on flat stretches . I really thought it would perform better with the 5.13 gears .

Are you implying you are not sure which gears were installed?

Aside from the Hypertech fixing the problem...I too was contemplating about whether 5.13's were really installed. It may be human error that it was packaged incorrectly, etc...Just throwing out conversation & possibilities..I believe the gears should have some kind of stamped marking on them indicating the ratio????

The reason I asked is I spelled out in a previous thread of Rattler's exactly how to tell which gears are installed without taking anything apart.
