Default Northern MA flooding MADE my commute today!

Had some major rain in New England today and much of my commute through Harold Parker State Forest and on 125 had significant flooding. Love that feeling of child-like glee when I go way out of my way to drive through the deepest parts, with a wave of water going over my hood and roof, while everyone else crawls around the outside!

Sounds like fun. Just don't hydrolock it--plenty of horror stories on this forum.

Indeed......I know it's fun and all, but if you had water coming up over the hood and you don't have a snorkel, then you are asking for trouble.....

Even just a wave a water? I wasn't submerged above the hood. Good to know, though...

It could even damage other components. Blasting through water is fun but risks sudden, major repair bills.

Gotta keep it slow through water, unless you're looking for excuses for new parts!

There was definitely some flooding early this morning around 7am...can't speak for it now that its dried out a bit. There were also some huge puddles along 125 through North Reading and Wilmington...

They tell you 24" of water max for a reason!! Yes, even just a wave. There are many on this forum who have hydrolocked in LESS than what you described. Glad you had fun though!!
