Will post some pics when we get back but I will tell you this thing is awesome! First test drive I was giggling the entire time. It was really amazing doing a install in the parking lot . AEV has mastered the Hemi swap and truly made this kit a DIY kit.
Thanks to all the guys at AEV - Dave , Chris, Jesse, Jordan , Kent , Dave Y, Mike and Jim Hope I did not miss anybody. Also thanks to moab 4x4 outpost for the use of anything we needed you guys rock!

I went along to take a look and was offered a test drive by Kent. OMG! My stock engine now so sucks and can't think about anything else but a Hemi... I guess it's love at first drive!
What I'm worried about though are possible issues with it once I have exported my JK to the UK. What do you think?

But to the FUN of the story. After it was done David took me for a ride in his pumped up JK - he had a huge sh** eatin' grin the whole time. He was almost giddy - me - I was jealous and am starting to put the shekels together for a Hemi for my JK. The thing runs and sounds great;.and it will get better as AEV says it will take 3000 miles for the computer to learn and will pickup another 30-40 hp. As to performance I counted in my head my time to 60 and his and I would say the Hemi is about 2 1/2 to 3 times faster than an auto JK on 35's with 5.13's. One other thing; as impressive as David's JK was he has 4.10's in it. AEV recommends 4.56 or 4.88's for 35's and 4.88's or 5.13's for 37's. The performance of a Hemi JK with 4.88's or 5.13's and after the 3k computer learning curve must be stunning.
Interestingly the AEV guys are a fan of the 5.7 over the 6.1. The torque of the 6.1 is way high in the RPM band and the 5.7 and 6.1 will be nose to nose in a 0-60 run. I imagine in a quarter mile drag the 6.1 would win as it would require more time at higher rpms. But on the trail they say the 5.7 is better. In addition it's about 4500-5000 cheaper to do and gets better gas mileage.
I also drove two supercharged vehices in Moab and will post on that later. Suffice to say that at this point I am NO longer considering a blower.
I'll also post about another interesting ride I had in a Hemi JK.
David, his crew, and the guys from AEV were a great group to spend time with. Good people.
I wonder how much David is going to let his wife drive his Hemi?
