Anyone know what size filter wrench is needed to remove the factory filter?

Those gripping oil filter wrenches would probably do the trick just fine. They are pretty universal I think.

Honestly guys I've owned many different vehicles (BMW M3, Toyota 4Runner, 2 Jeep Wranglers, Ford Mustang Cobra, Chevy Tahoe) and I have used Fram in all of them and have never experienced any problems whatsoever...but if it makes you feel more comfortable spending a little extra then go with the K&N...

This is why Fram gets such bad marks.

I went with Napa (Dana Corporation) filter on mine.
That's a crap study. How come the only and i mean only oil filter that he doesn't recommend is Fram?

because they are the cheapest, and all the auto parts stores over stock on them, while the nice filters are hardly in stock and are much more expensive

I personally have never seen a vehicle crap out due to oil filter failure.

That is one reason why I change the oil every 3k no matter what filter I use.

Ok, I will make my first post an interesting one. I have a tab bit of experience in lubrication and filtration. If you want a single reason not to use a Fram, cut one open. I have several brands of filters on the workbench that are cut open. The Fram has cardboard endcaps, a plastic bypass valve, and paper filter media. Compare that to just about any other quality filter and you will be shocked. In order of preferance: AMSOIL EaO, Donaldson, PureOne, Wix.
