Default Open Carry

Hey does anyone on here open carry with a drop leg holster? I did it once and got some pretty weird looks.

Can I ask a question without sparking a riot? Why open carry? I've been carrying for many years now, and I can't think of a single benefit over concealed carry. In fact, I can think of many reasons why open carry is a bad idea.

Aaaaand, go.

Being in NJ, it would take an act of God for any allowance for a normal citizen to carry in any fashion. I vacation a lot in PA, VA, and NC. I recently applied for the Utah non-resident CCW permit that will allow me to carry concealed in those states (and about 30 others). I can't wait. Should be getting it in another month.

1. More physically comfortable for some.
2. Faster draw time (Try it).
3. Might make the gen public more accepting if they saw how many carry and how nice we all are!
4. In some jurisdictions, you may open carry w/out permit. (If you are in AZ you can conceal w/out one too )

I conceal. However, I support people who want to open carry.

To answer the OP's question, I think it would be more comfy but you WILL get many many scared or dirty looks in public. Just be prepared to be treated like a freak.
