Default Ordering a Jeep?

It looks like I'm going to have to order the JKU the way I want it. For those of you that ordered yours, what did you pay? I'm wondering if the let you haggle at all on the price. Also do you think I can order it in a color they no longer offer? I know they have the paint codes.

Check out Quirk Jeep in Braintree, MA. They are a pain to deal with "used car salesman type" but you can haggle with them. I have not ordered because they have always had what I wanted on the lot. I bought my 2009 Rubicon and 2011 Sport new from them and got great prices. My son just bought a 2009 used JKU from them and beat them up pretty good. They have lots of jeeps in stock. Worth the ride from the Cape.

Search for Tread Lightly and find a dealer that participates in the Affiliate Rewards program. You can get at least 1% below invoice with no added fees haggle free. You might even be able to do better than that if you work at it.

Once production of a color is stopped you can't custom order a vehicle in that color. You might find an already built vehicle close to your needs and a dealer can trade for it and get it for you. Another option, although expensive, is to order white and have it repainted whatever color you want.

Thanks everyone for the help. Right now I'm driving a 2010 2dr and thinking about swapping to 2013 4 door. Doesn't look like my budget will allow for a 2012 but at least I know what I'm going to have to pay.

As mentioned...check tread lightly. But...before you do that...check with your job first. A lot of companies have affiliate programs which also allow you to START at nothing HIGHER than 1% below invoice.

A dealer here has a flat no haggle 2% below invoice for anyone (on another forum) that has an affiliate discount.

i had good luck at quirk jeep also. They can be a little high pressure, but its been my experience that if you are well informed when you shop for a vehicle, and stand your ground while negotiating, they eventually come around. I paid 500 under invoice for a 2011 jku rubicon, at the beginning of march (so early in the year, no incentives) and got 3000 more for my trade-in than any other dealer offered (and I went to alot of dealers). Research the invoice, dealer holdback, actual dealer cost, and when you have the best possible price tell them you'll think about it and get back to them, that will usually get at least a few hundred more out of them. your bigget bargaining chip is your ability to walk away and give someone else the business. Many dealers are willing to sell a vehicle at minimal profit just to reach quotas.

Remember everyone, when you order a Jeep you take delivery as soon as it comes in. Because of this the dealer does not pay floor plan on that vehicle. That is the % amount they pay the bank to finance their new vehicles with chrysler for every month it sits on the lot.

When you order a rig, it's another unit sold for them with no extra bank cost. Of course they will negotiate on ordered Jeeps. It is very possible to be well into dealer holdback if you are willing to put in the effort.

I just ordered a Rubicon JKU. I will pay 1% under invoice + another $500 off for a military discount. No haggle, very nice.
