Will a 35 inch tire fit on a stock tailgate with 4.5 backspacing on the wheel? Help please

It probably will but your biggest concern would be the potential of the tailgate welds failing due increased weight and thus added stress to them.

Mine did, it actually sat on the bumper and displaced some of the weight. I wouldnt leave it as a permanent solution but i ran it fir a year with no issues.

No problem, like I said it will by you some time until you can get a real tire carrier. If you have 4.5 inch backspacing you should be good without any adapters or wheel spacers. You want to keep the tire as close to the tailgate as possible, it will put less stress on the tailgate. Hope that helps
