turtle wax polishing compound is another option.

i was thinkin of just some good ol' rubbing compound. a couple years ago some punk kids spray painted my dads truck with their gang shit on the both sides of it. police officer told him to use rubbin compound on it and it should take it off no problem, so he did and it worked fine. my

no to wd40,, its full of silicons,, can damage paint,, and will keep paint from sticking right in the future.. this is where fisheyes come from.. We never allowed wd-40 inside the autobodyshop at all.. if found right in the dumpsters.. can and will cause wax issues years later too..

Clay bar,, it needs to be done anyway..

Autozone sells some products called "Mothers". They have a system that uses a clay bar, and then follows with some products to rebuild the wax.

I used it on an old car that had oxidized paint, and it worked very well..
