Picking nits
First let me say that I have over 15 years and 200k miles of jeep ownership. Secondly I think the 2010 JKU is an abso-4reakin-lutely amazing vehicle.
That said, what are some of the 'WTF were they thinking' nit picks on the JK. You know, small things things that make you nuts. I will start with 2.
1)The waterfall I have to navigate every time I get in or out when it's raining. There is no gutter above the door on the soft top and Niagara falls when it rains. Someone noticed this because newer 2010 JK's have little fins molded on the rubber seal above the windshield. Their apparent purpose is to channel the water down the A pillar. I do not know if they work. I can not believe no one identified the waterfall as a problem during the original design and testing.
2) If the tailgate is closed when I drop the soft top the 2 tiny screws holding the CMBL nicks the leading edge of the front of the top. The tolerance is so close that the top material is only nicked, not ripped thru. After adding the back doors and all the rear cargo space the designers came about a millimeter short of the top clearing the 2 screws.
Does anyone else know what I'm talking about?
Share your nit pick. You will feel better, I do.

how about maybe headlights that you can actually see something?
in this day and age of computers in the jeep cant they detect the doors are off and shut down the radio when you turn off the jeep?
on the 2 door why did they get rid of the tilt release passenger seat that worked so well on the TJs..

$6 in marine batten sockets, a $5 piece of fiberglass and four 50 cent hose clamps for $40.... Cheap junk, clearly designed by a boat owner.
I bought a 12" length of 1.5" x 1.5" steel angle stock and made my own mounting that allows me to snap it in between the bars right over the padding without cutting away the foam padding or using the butt-ugly sockets and hose clamps. Comes off in two seconds...
What about the missing "fold and tumble" front passenger seat?? Rear access is impossible unless your between the ages of 3 and 11.
Oh... and seat belt tensioners?? what happened to those????
Anyone with any ideas or products to solve these two would be great!
