To remove the slave cylinder (manual tranny) without taking the tranny down?

 

according to the service manual yes you can but the bad news is you have to remove fluid, then transfer case skid, then cat, then propeller shafts then transfer case linkage,wiring and vent hose, then take the transfer case down, then it says remove the slave cylinder
