Possibly selling the jk BUT for how much?
Thanks, everyone. Believe me, I don't want to sell it. I love the baby I built up. But NY is expensive and if I land something out there, selling the JK will help clear out the college loans and help me somewhat live out there. Again, we'll see what happens. For now I just wanted to see what you all thought and knew in terms of resale value and how to resell if it does fully come down to it.
I appreciate all the help. Keep the advice and comments coming. If I do sell the JK, I know it will be bittersweet--the benefactor that will make moving away and working in the real world a gut check.

I'll echo the sentiments of others here, I believe it to be worth more than $14,000 but you'll only know when you put it up for sale. See what a Carmax would give you. They gave me an excellent offer on my car, more than I thought I could get for it and they'll give you a check on the spot. Just be aware they won't take cars with too many modifications, although a Jeep is expected to have some mods to it.
I'm thinking more like $16-$17,000. If you don't have the stock parts, that can limit your potential buyers, especially if you don't have the back seat to throw back in.
I'd say someone who wants to start wheelin' immediately would be your best buyers. Good luck with the sale, and I certainly understand why you would not want to take it to New York. Parking is $300-$1000 a month alone.
