Btw, the later 304 V8s make our 3.8l look like power houses. They didn't even have any more torque than our engines do and they had like 130 hp.
Yeah, that's what our Jeeps are. The only difference is that they've kept the same general look all of these years. Rather than going back to it.

Yea, AMC put V8's in factory but the usual engine swap in my part of the country (70's & 80's) was a chevy 350. Which by the way the HP of a carbureted 350 was right around 200 and with a lot less MPG than we have in the 3.8. I have the Tim Taylor syndrome like many people here but all in all the 3.8 ain't that bad when you put it into context.
