Purchased my 2011 Rubi tonight...did I get a good deal
There is ALWAYS going to be someone that paid either more or less than you did. As long as you're happy, who cares.
x2-I say bs to some of these " I bought a new JK loaded for less than You" guys. If you already have buyers remorse-then you should not have bought-You bought it-be happy-and enjoy it. If you keep worrying about what's behind you-you are going to crash and burn.
The short version is that after driving the vehicle for close to two years and putting 36000 miles on it, I could (according to KBB) trade it it for what I paid (neglecting tax and such).

You really want to make like that is a non issue, you are full of BS. Money, cept for the ultra wealthy, represents at the very least an opprotunity cost. If the OP gets a real deal (kinda sceptical still) that 4-5 grand can either provide a lifetime of tires and repairs, a lift and tires, etc, etc. It IS important how much you pay - but back to topic, what you PAY is the important part - not what you "saved". I find it interesting and curious that this is becoming so ingrained into society. I went to Kohls to buy a shirt, and instead of telling me that the total was $17 the cashier told me I "saved $57". Seriously? The savings off some arbitrary price is now how we judge purchases?
Purchases have a price, and again - not to impose - but I would ask the OP to post a PRICE not his "SAVINGS". Prices and costs have meaning, "saving" has close to none.
To a point, this is true and fair. But, to be honest no matter how happy you may be with your vehicle - overpaying is going to dampen that. For instance, I paid "out the door", including sales tax, registration, dealers fees, etc, a little over $27k for my 09 Rubi Unlimited with auto, hardtop, power windows and locks, everything but nav and side airbags. They did short me 1 grab handle, and the floormats, but I let that slide since I have the lifetime powertrain. Oh, and thanks to Mr. Bush and Obama and their "rescue" efforts, I chose 0% interest over paying cash.
I have yet to tell that to someone (usually only those who ask, usually Wrangler owners) who didn't look grumpy. Sure, I bought mine in the depths of the recession uncertainty and the deal didn't have a damn thing to do with my "skills" (excellent credit but no need to use it and no hurry helped a ton) - but it happened. I am paying $520/month for 48 months. Nice.

Well said. Cant believe how belligerent people are responding to this thread. Plenty of people ask for pricing on mods and if things are good deals on various sites or at dealers...this is no different. For the record, the MSRP & Window Sticker are $36.1. I know what options are available and it is "fully loaded." The ONLY options it does NOT have are 4 Speed Auto ($825 MSRP), Engine Block Heater ($30 MSRP), Smokers Group ($30 MSRP) and Trailer Tow ($270 MSRP). Got it for $31.9 (no extra fees or anything on top, etc etc.). Reason I ask is more for fun to see how "good" I did. Do I care about an extra 100 or 500 bucks at the end of the day?...NO. Just interested to hear if I did "good" or if I'm a bozo and I could have gotten it for $29 or something...

Personally, given that this is a refined model year, with improved interior comforts and controls and all that, and most importantly just on the lot with no manufacture incentives - $31.9 seems like a pretty damn good deal. IIRC, there was someone on this forum that had paid more than that for a sport (ouch). I think it is hard to gauge what a good deal is on a brand new vehicle, but that sounds like one to me.
