Default Quadratec Winch?

I see Quadratec is advertising a new winch made just for jeeps. Any idea who is making these for them? The price is right.

Looks like a good deal to me. I dont know much about them, but I would certainly consider the line. I also live 35min from Q so if there was a problem I could easily take it back in person. There is a 11000lb also. Might be better for 4 doors.

I would imagine if its coming from quadratec it should be pretty good. I purchased quite a few things from them and havent had a problem yet. Im going to keep my eye on these and do some research.

This is a quote from a Quadratec rep. post some where they had some of the info you were wondering about.

"The winch is Precision Manufactured in China. We sourced the highest quality components for the winch and offer a 1 year electrical warranty and limited lifetime on all mechanical components. It is also the best low cost imported winch you can currently get.

We understand your concerns of the winch quality and where it is manufactured. Our branded winches have been a secret for almost a year now. We've been buying different companies and testing them out so that way when the final product gets to you, there aren't tons of those infamous quality issues we've all seen of lesser products." -Joe

I don't know if the color was a big deal for some of you but its not as bad as it looked in the pictures in the mag and online.

Interesting. I assume that this winch - or any winch for a stock bumper - also requires a winch mounting plate as well?

"All Q Series Winches include two sets of solenoid brackets for side mounting or top mounting."

It doesnt specify....however you could easily remote mount the solenoid and stick it in a waterproof box.
