Default quadratecs website

I don't know if this should go in the sponsors section or here so if its not in the right place move it please.

I have decided today that i will no longer order anything through quadratec. Why is it that a company as large as them can't have inventory that updates and changes an instock or out of stock status on the website? Every time i order a part from them i get an email 2 minutes later that says the item is out of stock and will ship asap. Just wanted to rant a little. has anyone else experienced this?

One of the ways places like Quadratec keep their prices down is to not keep an inventory of every item they sell. So they rely on the manufacturers to ship some items. There is no way in hell they could keep track of every item. What they do is good business sense.

Quadratec has been great to me and I will continue to use them.

I've purchased a lot of stuff from Quadratec and have been pleased with the service and availability of their products. Sorry to hear about your experiences with them. I did once order a large item from another vendor, only to find out it was on back order, but it was to ship within a matter of days and it came early actually. I'm sure that company does the same thing with keeping a low inventory to be able to have competitive pricing. As annoying as it may be I can understand why they do it.

That is frustrating, but I don't have a problem with Quadratec for it, because they make no claim to the availability of the item.

In my opinion however, Quadratec could vastly improve their communication across their whole supply chain all the way to the customer. Quadratec is big enough that they could push some type of requirement to their suppliers to provide supply information which they could then aggregate and pass down.

Why not call them? I usually do, and you can haggle on shipping that way.

The whole point of buying something online is so that you don't have do deal with idiots (on the phone; getting off the couch to grab my cell phone and wait on hold or in person).
