My 08 JKU is bone stock...just as it was when it left the Ohio Plant. Only complaint....wish I became a Jeeper sooner.
Love it! You can mod your Jeep and not do a lift...its what makes Jeeps so great every one is different....but we love them all.

1st - Does he own a Jeep
2nd - You do not "NEED" a lift. Jeeps are very capable without
3rd - Grow some B$&&s, you are going to need them lifted or not!!!

Jeeps are Jeeps

No you don't have to lift it, there is a woman in our club with a bone stock jku Sahara which has done better in some spots than jeeps on 35's with lockers

Your budy is clueless... A lift is only one method to solve the desire for larger tires. So that is not even the right issue. Match your tires to the trails you want to run. Most people can run most recreational trails stock. If you want to play on big rocks the you need larger tires, but most guys actually strive to fit larger tires with as little lift as possible to keep the CG as low as posible. Qith the JK you can add 35" tires with no lift at all and just some fender trimming.

If you want to go racr Baja the buy a truck, for everythong else a Jeep is best.

What a stock Jeep can do is amazing. Capable enough to impress and scare most people.

Your friend is just jealous. You will be amazed at what jeeps can do when they are stock. The two I had previous blew me away at what I was able to do with them. Just prepare to get bitten by the mod bug... and trust me.. you'll be bitten.

And just when you think you recuperated from the last bite, you get bitten again! Never ending cycle..
