Rancho tire carrier review
Thought I'd add my 2cents on the recent purchase I made. I bought the older style (a-frame arm) bumper tire carrier from Rancho. You have to assemble 100% of the Rancho tire carrier but it is not all that difficult. All in all took me about 2.5 hours to install and will say that all though some parts were a hassle (keeping the crush tubes in place and putting in the d-washers in place by myself) it went very smooth. I ran into 2 snags, the A-frame arm not fitting into the passenger side mount on the bumper was first. I had to bend the metal brackets to make it wider. Second, and still a problem is the pin won't fit through all the way to lock the arm in place. The pin fits through all the holes when the arm is not being locked into place, but in place it doesn't go through the bottom hole of the bumper. I may have to drill the bottom hole to be bigger to fit. I have no rattling or noise of any sort and for the price I think it's a great deal. The finish on it looks great and held up to some prying I had to do to line up some screws. Haven't wheeled with it yet but so far so good. I recommend this product. God job Rancho!!!
