Default Rear-ended

My jeep was involved in a hit and run last friday. The punk clipped my rear bumper. I was shocked to find no damage to the body. Bumper is trashed (gave me a reason for a new one), my flair is hanging and my license plate bracket is trashed. I don't think he hit the tire, but I feel that I'm bouncing around a bit more, maybe it is my imagination. Everything looks intact, any suggestions on what to look for. I have a RC 2.5 BB with shocks and 33's KM2

Can't say for sure cause there's no Pic's but from personal experience found out that there's a whole lotta nuthin between the plastic and the steel under it. Maybe you'll find you can drill a couple pin hole's and pull the plastic back out.

If you are putting the hit & run under insurance....it's worth your time to take your JK to a shop to see if there is any damage to the rear axle or shaft to get all damages covered under insurance.

sorry to hear that... if you see him again... crush him.

but otherwise, have insurance cover it and see if they will just pay you the damage via check. You can upgrade the rear bumper

It could have done more than you think. It should go in to a competent body shop for a full check out. If it was hit hard enough on a corner, the frame could actually be damaged. It's not too hard to do, either. The condition is called a "diamond" because it would actually push one frame rail in front of the other and make a parrallelogram out of your frame, instead of a rectangle that it normally is. This can cause all kinda driving maladies. I would get it looked at soon.
