Rented a 2011 dodge caravan pentastar
Down here in Florida with the kids for the week and Dollar gave me a brand new 2011 Caravan with the pentastar.
Compared to my 2009 Rubi with 35's this thing is a Ferrari. Feels like an easy 100hp difference above 4k rpm. Incredible difference!
I think 2012 wrangler owners are gonna be very very happy. Problem is I don't think I could trade mine for a '12 as I've got too much money invested. I'll just stick with the hemi swap I've got planned.

I just had a new Grand Cherokee as a rental last week and was not overly impressed by the engine, gas mileage was not very good (reset at begining of trip and computer showed an average of 18.7) and it did not seem very responsive. Some of that might be that it's not been broken in as it only had 800 miles and the gearing, but I was still a little disappointed.
The rest of the vehicle was very impressive though and still felt like a Jeep, smoother ride than the JK, but not car ride smooth, I liked that.

I would agree they are not a direct comparison. But figure in the fact that I had this thing loaded with seven people and one weeks worth of baggage for those seven...and the weight issue becomes a mute point. You can still tell where an engine makes power vs one that doesn't.
And my 3.8 is a turd compared to the pentastar that is in the caravan.

I wish the transmissions were the same between your 2009 Rubi and the Caravan so you could tell if it's mostly the engine accounting for the difference that you're feeling.
