Default Rubber hood bumper...

So I'm washing my JK this past weekend after a few months of bad weather and I noticed that one of the windshield hood bumpers is missing, possibly knocked off while I was clearing the snow... and I noticed the poor design of these ( a very small cone shape base that is pressed into the sheet metal).
So today I called the stealership and found that they' have been redesigned so if I want to have both look the same I need 2...
I'm toying with the idea of using some tipe of grommet and getting a push pin like the ones used to keep the some body parts in place as I don't see myself lowering the windshield any time soon.
Has anyone had a similar situation?...thanks

Yeah. Mine fall off every time I wash the truck. I've been lucky to not loose one. I just screw it back on and keep going.

Why would washing your truck cause these to fall off your Jeep?

Some of you must do some serious washing and snow clearing. Mine are on there good.

Default Update

Well kids, I decided to just order one instead of two based on the fact that the '09's on the lot supposedly had the new design and there was no physical difference except (after I picked it up I noticed it) the base now is made of a hard plastic that pops in place and is very hard to remove...so if you're ever in my shoes order just one and make sure to glue the other one to the sheet metal...

Everytime I wash mine, the driver's side nipple pops off (pressure or brush)
I glued it on the last time it did it, so far so good

'07's make it easier to take your nipples off and wash under them.
