There are no panels on this part. It is a one piece design. It mounts to the side roll bars using straps. Anything that you would want to mount to it would have to have holes drilled for the mounting and wires. The part is made of a think plastic with a metal bar run across the inside top for support.

a metal bar run across the inside top for support.. really?? mine did not have that? i had to add a piece of 1" angle to support the weight of my cb and help stop it from sagging...
Yes you can only access it from the front and the mesh is fed through it from end to end with pull tights on either end
