Default Sahara Tires on stock rims

I need to replace my Duelers. I want to go with the largest tire on the stock 18" rims. Can i fit a 33"/12.50"/18" on the stock rim and get away with using spacers only (Spidertrax 1.75") ? Would this look too wide ?

It's a 2.5" wider tire and 1" larger diameter.

I could always go with 275's or 285's, i guess.

First, I would recommend staying away from spacers. You will find plenty of people that have used them with out issue, but I don't like them and I don't think they are safe. I run 33's on my stock sahara wheels just fine with no spacers, but i'm running a 275/70R18, which is a 33X11. I put a couple washers on my steering bumpstops, and I have no rubbing at full lock and stuff either direction. I pasted a thread below about my tire adventure, what I landed on, and how they are currently doing. It's a good read you should check out.
