Default Scents from a Jeep.....

It is a nice night here in Mass - 65 degrees and clear star light sky. I put the kids to bed and then told my wife I am going out for a ride. Had the top down and all 4 doors off. The roads were baren with only an occasional car in sight. It was a very hectic day today, but now the day was behind me and all I cared about was the wind swirling around me, my Jeep, some music and the road. It was in this blissful state that I immediately picked up various scents during my drive:

- The scent of lilacks on the side of the road when driving around the offramp
- The scent of grilled food from passing someones back yard on the side road
- The scent of hottop from the road construction on the other side of the highway
- The scent of fresh donuts from passing a Dunkin Donuts
- The scent of manure from passing the MSPCA
- The scent of the warm air coming out of the dashboard vents
- The scent of the fresh night air on the open highway

This is just another great reasons why I just love my JK!!

WHAT!! NO MOON? Top down, cool evening air, scent of the woods, go real slow and quiet, hear the crickets, frogs, or the sea slapping on the shore.

Yeah, evening rides get no better than that.

You can smell the moon????

On my drive through rural southern Alabama, I particularly liked the smell of fresh rain after driving for several hours in 95' temps. It never rained on me, but I passed through an area where it had recently rained and it was so pleasant to feel the temperature drop a few degrees and smell all those smells that come after the rain.

However, I was not too pleased driving behind that septic tank pumper truck. . . . LOL

You're lucky, seems like everytime I go out with the top off I end up behind some gross polluting 1980s mini-van with mis-match wheels spewing blue smoke

Where I'm from we don't have a Dunkin Donuts but we do have Kempf's Donut Bank Bakery, and there is one less than a block from my house. I smell it every morning when I get home from work, it use to kill me when I was on a diet. God I love the smell of fresh donuts in the morning!!

I agree -- "UFO Sighting" would have been more believable than that one! Makes me wonder what would make more noise driving down the road -- A rock or a Dunkin Donut stuck in your tire.
