But if I had a 4dr, I think I would prob have another post saying, should I have gotten to the 2dr? Actually it might be, I just like anything Jeep.

Got any links for trailer ideas? I have enough room for duck decoys and gear now.

No, sorry but i dont have any links off the top of my head, it isnt something i have really looked into much.

I have only seen 2 modifed JK's locally besides mine. No tweaked 4drs. at all.

I'll check around online. I'm not really to concerned about deer at this time. Ducks are starting to flood the brain of course. Resident Geece season opens in a couple of months. This years hatch is already getting big. Fattin up little buddies...lol.

I think I saw about 8 4drs on sunday. Only one I think had the doors off. 4drs are everywhere!!!

As far as my JK goes, let the modding begin!!!

I have a 2dr jk and have no regrets at all on not getting the 4 dr. My stepson is 12 now so he has no problem climbing in the back(he doesn't even put the seat back, he just jumps through the middle of the two front seats- he is such a great kid!) I just never really liked the look of the four door and with just one kid in the house the 2dr works for us. If I had three kids I most definitely would have sucked it up and bought the four door. The 2dr has plenty of room for our needs.

90% of the JK pics I see are 4drs. I hated the 4drs at 1st but now they growing on me. I think they have a look all to their own. I don't need the room, I just like the way they look. But you can't beat a two dr. Plus we can do circles (litteraly) around 4drs. I just wish I could have both...hahaha!

Obviously highly subjective, but I prefer the looks of the two-door. The four- doors look great as well though and I would have no problem owning one someday as long as it is needed.

Default Years Ago

Years Ago if you had said a jeep should have 4 doors us old hunters would have laughed our ass off. Same for Jeep & Auto Trans. But the world is changing and that is a good thing. 4 doors & auto trans. gives people who otherwise could not enjoy the outdoors a fantastic opportunity. I'm all for it.

The two door has the classic Jeep look, and I admit to preferring it to the four door. The four door takes some getting used to. But, while I'd really love to have the turning radius of the two door, the four door let's me carry extra Boy Scouts when on campouts. And when my son and I take our 3-4 week camping trip each year, it lets us carry all of our gear in relative security (leaving outside-mounted valuables at a trailhead for several days is just plain asking for trouble). Finally, given a few mod's, even the four door can look pretty awesome, to wit, mine:

That's the way you gotta do it, doors off! It kinda has a buggy look to it. Otherwise it looks like a soccer moms jeep....no offense. Can't wait to lift mine!

What's funny is that as soon as I looked at your picture I was like ummmm that looks like Draper lake...then I saw you were from Midwest City. Is that Draper?

I'm from Shawnee (graduated from Tecumseh). I joined the Navy right out of High School (9yrs ago) I did a tour at Tinker for 3 1/2 yrs, tour Hawaii for 3yrs, and now here Pax River (been here for a couple of years)

Love the 2 dr. My 6th Jeep and I'm 6' and have no trouble getting into the back seat - but I don't need to. My 6' 15 y/o daughter knew about the room in the back seat and said - "If you come home with a 4 dr I'll disown you. Wrangler's have 2 doors". Smart Girl.

The 4 door does have significantly more room. I didn't buy it for a mini-van or family hauler. That's what the family car is for. This is for Dad's on/off roading.

nice in my opinion, it's the heart of the jeep owner that makes the vehicle what it is and not whether or not it's a 2-door or a 4-door. i prefer not to discriminate people who buy what you judge to be a "mini-van or family hauler" but rather embrace them. from what i have seen, this is the first chance that so many of these great people have had to become and do what they have always wanted to do - to become a real jeeper. and, it is my purpose to help them in anyway that i can. but hey, that's just me.
