Sorry Brother, you missed my point. I'm not saying the 4 door is a "mini van or people hauler". I'm saying that a Jeep is not either of the two. Never was, never will be.

Even the 4 door Wrangler isn't a "people hauler".
Peace.

Caught me! Yeah, I hate driveway shots, and live only five minutes from Draper.

Not exactly. Since Draper provides water for OKC, I doubt they'd do that! However, there is talk of putting a golf course out there. The city has already put a mountain biking park out there--13+ miles of single track of varying degrees of difficulty. Pretty cool riding (been out there a couple times with my son and Scouts). And they are upgrading many of the points with pavilions and picnic tables. Unfortunately, that means some of the roads are being paved, but there's still plenty of unpaved roads to explore. And there's also an off-road park for ATVs and motorcycles. Adding a golf course would bring a different kind of person out, which might help them get some other needed upgrades. I'd love to see a bigger marina and maybe a few nice restaurants. And I'd love to see a decrease in drunks in speedboats and personal watercraft. Certainly there's a very strong police presence, what with a station out there at the lake. And they do get onto any muddy four-wheel vehicles they see--they don't like us driving out there when it's muddy. Lately they've started closing off the roads when they are muddy. Anyway, now I just go out there to shoot a few pic's.

We use to have a blast out there...a few drinks too..lol. We would take the trucks out there and have some fun. There was alot of dirt bikes also. Before I left we were signing patitions left and right to keep draper open. Last time I was home it looked like they were going to build a new road off Air Depot....maybe a housing complex?

Is Draper still infamous for it being a body dump?

Welcome aboard, Ponch! Congrats on the Jeep. I bought the Unlimited because I have a family and wanted the 4 door. I like the hell out of mine and in NO way whatsoever wish I had gotten the 2 door. Nothing against the 2 door.....they just ain't for me. I think even if I had been minus the family, I wouldda gotten the 4 door .But that's just me. Lots of advantages to the 2 door. Shorter wheelbase, lighter all that there stuff. Just be glad you got a Jeep!

I'm very happy with my jeep and havent been this happy about a vehicle in a long time. I'm sure some days I will have wished I had a 4dr and others I'll be glad I have the 2.

I do like the 4 dr but with all the options i wanted it was a bit out of my price range. I'm only 23 so i don't have any kids to deal with. The most i usually have in the jeep at once is 3 and i'm not the one who has to sit in the back, so i am quite happy with the 2dr. as many have said if you take the rear seat out u have quite a bit of room.

I got the 2 Dr. and hopefully after we are out of our Jeep Patriot lease the wife will want a 4 dr. JK then (2.5 more years). She has hinted around about really liking the white 4dr. I would love that!

In the beginning i bought the 2 dr because it's a traditional jeep and i thought the 4 dr was to long. but now after seeing this sight for the last 6 months i have learned that a longer wheel base has a great place in the offroad world.
edit: oh heres a picture

OH and here is a pic of a 4 dr for comparison : ya:
