Default Shift Points

So I'm just curious, what shift points do people use. At what RPM and what mph are each gear good for??

If for some crazy reason I am going for economy I shift out of 1st at 3K and 2.5K for every other gear.

With 4:10 gears, 18"wheels with stock tires on the street I know that I can easily go over 100mph in 6th with 2 people in it.

Otherwise most time I go till it feels about right to shift then look at the gauges to see what's up for future reference. My stock Jeep hauls butt on the street for a 3.8. When getting on a freeway I am usually in 3rd gear sometimes 4th by the time I'm up to legal freeway speeds.

So a 6.1 Hemi interests me. but I'm satisfied with what I have.

Any stovepipes wanna run?

When I am driving normal I shift out of first by 2500 and shift around 1900-2000 rpm after that. I get around 18.5-19 like this.

This is my first automatic in decades.

I don't ever remember what the rpm's were it was all by sound and feel.

I'm about the same as Omega Man, though I have recently discovered I need to let it go closer to 3000 while in 3rd before I shift to 4, as anything under 1500 in 4, has no power.
