I am 5' 6"ish and have no problems.. I had to learn the angle of attack for 6th and get the friction point down.. but once that was out of the way I have had no problems.

5'5 and I have just learned to sit closer to the wheel. It also helps keep the door jam/post from blocking my side vision by doing this. I do get the clutch in fully this way. I tilt the wheel all the way down and lower the seat too.
Occasionally the hubby will move the seat and that will start the whole discomfort thing again! Glad its not just me!

You could try using a phone book. my three year old uses that at the dinner table because he cant reach his sippy cup. I don't know, just a thought.

Sorry, i couldn't resist.

Don't need to .. the friction point is around a 1/4 way from the floor. I just sit a tad closer with the seat completely upright.

I knew the phone book was gonna be brought up sooner or later.

I only have a BB and I find it hard to get in the Jeep at times

Although i appreciate the comic nature of the phone book response, its a shame that not even that would help. I have no trouble seeing over the wheel, and the seat adjusts up and down. The past couple days have been better, working the height and slide adjustments, I think i found a position that will work, i'll get used to eating the steering wheel each day.
