If the overall weight is less, this equals less unsprung weight therefore you will see better mpg's and better performance (all other things equal).

Do brake calipers clear 15 inch wheels?

hmmmm.....wonder if we'd be able to get a weight from guys running on a 17" alum w/35 and a 15" steel with 35's

be interesting to see the real difference

My 35" KM2s on a stock wheel is 92lbs. Definitely have to make sure the same brand of tire is used in the figuring. Weight between brands varies greatly.

its all about weight and rolling resistance...

If your running an 18" alloy rim with low profile street rubber its most likely lighter than a 15" steel with MT 33's on it.

The rolling resistance is also less...

Personally I think your thinking to hard....

A couple of mpg between friend is didly IMHO...

Its a jeep, drive it, enjoy it, and don't forget to wheel it....
