I have no idea where the leak is coming from, it would have to get through my stock mat with the plastic underside and I've never noticed any dampness there before -- any ideas?
The carpet kits are made to be removed and put back in. They come out in sections and you'll figure it out as you go, very easy and basic....just look for the seems and where they overlap each other.

Hope that helps.

Removed all of the carpets. Was very damp/wet and moldy in the passenger side rear floor space. The leak was coming from the nut on my passenger side freedom panel and it would leak back there. I'm taking it in for warranty work Tues to get that fixed meanwhile I'll try to clean up the carpet and put it back in once it's done. It's amazing all the crap I found under the carpet . Thanks guys

I took my all my carpets out except for the rear cargo area and I still have a musty smell in my jeep. Does anyone else have this problem? I hear water in one of my front hardtop panels too.

The water IN the panel sounds new. Any idea how it got in there?

To the OP, do you have a shop vac? If you do I would try seriously wetting down the carpet with a hose, vacuuming it pretty dry and letting it dry outside the Jeep for a while. Wet vacuuming gets a lot more out than dry. But if have some unidentified leak, it is going to keep smelling.

Speaking from experience, have there been any crackheads in your Jeep recently?

Maybe there were homeless people making a Soup Kitchen in your rig.
