Default Soft top availability

Question, I just bought my Jeep and it came with a hardtop. I was told by the dealer that currently soft tops are back ordered. Since the dealer really doesn't know anything does any one have any idea when soft tops might be available?

Keep any eye on Craigslist and this site, they come up for sale all the time.

Yes. And you'll save about a grand, and should be able to find one that is new or almost new. Just be certain that you bone up on the parts required for the softtop before making the purchases (there are threads on the forum listing them out).

Yeah, I bought my soft top during the winter for $250, without the surrounds. Found the surrounds on eBay for $200 (includingh shipping), and bought the rear window retainer brackets on QuadraTec for $20...and some screws for the frame brackets into the frame for less than $2 @ Lowe's...figure I got a very gently used top and new surrounds for $472...not bad since the stealership quoted me $1,500 for a brand new top!

Made a storage system for the hard top off of an idea on this forum for less than $40! Very happy with all that I learn here!

You can find them all the time in the for sale section for around $600 new and unused.

Default check the for sale section

The for sale section always has some listings.

This is funny they said that though b/c I thought I'd read there's a hardtop shortage.

Do all JK softtops fit eachother? like a 2010 softtop on a '08 etc? Assuming it's not a 4 door on a 2 door.
