Default Soft top door frames

Hey everyone. Im looking at installing the soft top on my JK for the first time. I have a question about the door frames that come in the box.

Are the door frames only for when the soft top is on?

In the manual it says "Do not drive you vehicle on-pavement with the door frame removed as you lose the protection these structual elements can provide. This procedure is furnished for use during off-road operation only"

Does this mean that I should have it on right now?

Thank you for any feedback

I take mine off when I take the doors off. I think it looks better. I either leave them home or in the back.

I only take it off when i have the door off. If you take it off with the door on, your door can vibrate pretty bad if you're on a rough back road. Other than that, it's fine
